Last fall I wrote an article on here about the Americans and their demands that Canadians entering the US will shortly need a passport because of “terrorism” issues.
Now read this. The police chase a guy across the border, into Canada, continue the chase on Canadian soil and a totally uninvolved Ontario woman loses her life.
As the article points out, we don’t even allow officers from other provinces to bring their weapons into Ontario. We sure as heck shouldn’t be too happy about the American police blowing through a roadblock on one of their Dukes of Hazzard high speed chases.
This is continuing evidence that the American bureaucracy really doesn’t give a damn about us. If we chased a criminal into New York State and ignored their jurisdiction, all hell would break lose.
Things need to change. And soon. Our neighbours are proving to no longer be our friends.
Then lets just have it so that a passport is needed to cross the border both ways so no one has a hissy fit.
I’m not going to argue this (the police chase, etc…) matter on your site because I do not feel that it is the right thing to do. I am just going to leave this as that we have “differences of opinion” on the subject.
