I’ve heard some pretty crappy “internet radio” in my time. I think we all have. So I was a little skeptical when I saw an add for Iceberg Radio on the television a few minutes ago. Wow have I been impressed so far.
Bottom line: Give them a spammable e-mail address, fill in the blanks, and you get an insane number of channels to choose from.
With “cable” as my connection speed, it is feeding me very good sounding 34k feeds, and I haven’t had a skip once. For 34k, the sound is phenomenal.
Check it out.
[Editor’s Addendum: If you have a weak stomach, I can’t emphasize enough to stay away from the “Worst Of The Worst” channel. The Surgeon-General has determined that William Shatner singing “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds” has caused cancer in laboratory rats.]
I tried this out today… it is awesome… i had tried LaunchCast by Yahoo. It was great until after 30 days i had to subscribe to recieve the good radio. This is Totally Free and I enjoyed my choice of so many diffenent genres and subgenres. Thanks for posting this and I suggest it to everyone!
[Commentor’s Addendum: The “Worst of the Worst” Station really is very bad for you!!! In addition to causing cancer it can cause uncontrollable seizures and slobbering.]
