There is a new driver release (8.4.6) for most Quickcams available from the Logitech website, and it’s a very nice update.
You can now access the camera controls from the system tray (very handy!) and the camera controls themselves have been greatly simplified. Instead of having a dozen sliders there are now three - one for brightness, one for contrast, and one for saturation. Plus the usual low light boosts, colour boosts, and that sort of thing. There is also a new (to me) thing called Quickcapture that you can access from the tray that allows you to quickly snap off a quick picture or video without having to load a heavy-duty graphics application.
I highly recommend the 8.4.6 drivers for all Quickcam owners.
