So after the auction yesterday, I decide I need a haircut. Since I moved last fall, I haven’t really found any hairstylists I’ve been happy with, so since the auction was halfway to Bowmanville I decided to go and see the girl who used to cut my hair in Bowmanville. Admittedly, I did not make an appointment, but I never do. If the place is too busy to take walk-ins, it’s usually more money than I want to spend too. She, however, is quite reasonable.
So I drive all the way to Bowmanville, make my contribution to the parking meter, and hike two blocks up the street to get to her salon.
I walk in the door, there’s nobody there, and she says:
“If you’re here for a haircut, you’ll have to come back tomorrow… I’m way too busy.”
What the hell else would I be coming to her for? Now I realize she could have had scheduled appointments, but the place was empty, and it takes all of about ten minutes for her to cut my hair.
