Everything I Need To Know I Learned From My Cat

Quote Of The Moment

An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.

Reuters have published a story saying that e-mail is for old people. This just made me fall off my chair laughing.

Apparently the teenage population has a greater love for instant messaging. Gee, I wonder if the word “instant” has any relatitivity here.

Kids by and large (I’m waiting for the tar and feather brigade from the Kyla fiasco last year to jump down my throat on this one) have no patience and no motivation to do the whole job when a half job will do. The society says that using these stupid IM abbreviations like “c u l8er” is cool but the bottom line is they’re just a bunch of lazy bums who can’t be bothered to spell things properly. And since this kind of English degradation is accepted in the instant messaging world. that’s why teens prefer IM’ing. Geeesh, you’re expected to spell check e-mails and how much extra work is that??

E-mail is no more or no less relevant than it ever was. The teenage generation is just going to hell in a handbasket.

(P.S. Just as an aside, and a reference to the Kyla remark earlier… I would just like to casually mention that everything I speculated last year in the post that got all of you so excited was reported as being absolutely factual in Wednesday’s newspaper. I know it will pain you all greatly to admit you were wrong, so I won’t wait for the apologies to come flooding in even though you forced me to make a public one, and uttered libellious statements and death threats against my family and I.)
