I posted this a long time ago, but it bears repeating.
When the blog asks for your e-mail address, that information is NEVER posted on the web, even if you don’t post a web URL in the other field.
Although the e-mail address is an authentication key used to COMBAT spam, it’s main purpose is so I can reply - by e-mail - to your comments or get clarification if necessary.
You will not get spam by posting your real e-mail address in a comment. I promise. I’m the only person who has access to that information once it is stored in the database. (Except for my generally helpful web host server admins who would never have a reason to go digging in there ANYWAY…. right, Justin?)
