The other day I went for lunch at Wendy’s (actually I was trying to chase someone, but that’s another story - food distracted me). Unbeknownst to me Wendy’s and Coke were running a contest, so I peeled the tab off the side of the beverage I was drinking and found an entry code to win a Dell computer. So I stuck it in my wallet and brought it home and keyed it in. I didn’t win the Dell.
But entering the PIN code gave me “points” that allowed me to enter other contests. Of the ones that I remember one of them was for a Yamaha scooter, and another… was for a $15,000 Shopping Spree on Sonystyle.ca.
I stopped dead in my tracks.
Could I spend that much money at the Sony Store? Is it even possible to spend FIFTEEN GRAND on Sony products? I stopped and pondered. FIFTEEN GRAND. That’s a lot of stuff. And some Sony products I’m just not interested in.
The verdict is in. I can spend it. Yes I can. Wish me luck.
Do not forget the old girl on welfare…I want a portible DVD player
