Just getting ready to write this article has literally knocked the wind out of me before I’m even started.

I really don’t like the CBC. I dislike the CRTC even more, and blame them for what we’re forced to endure through the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

So when I make an exceptional find on the CBC website, I was unsure how to handle it. If I said something nice about the CBC, lighting could fall from the sky and people could get hurt. But the potential gain outweighs the potential risk, and I am going to drive a lightning rod and hire a team of monks to pray feverishly on my behalf.

SOME IDIOT IN THEIR IT DEPARTMENT DISCOVERED RSS!

Yeah, I’m startled too. They only discovered electricity… the year of the ice storm wasn’t it?

Anyway. For those of you who already have RSS feeds, the CBC has a page setup with a wealth of topical news feeds, most notably news - organized by sport - for the 2006 Torino Winter Olympics. And I dare say… the other thing those morons do well is sports coverage.

Ya know. That’s a thought. If they’d quit trying to do entertainment and focus solely on news and sports, they could meet their Canadian content quotas with one hand tied behind their back and not be 10% as annoying as they are. Hmmmmm.
