Spam really bugs me. I used to get most of my e-mail through an account on the poweredbycoffee.net domain, but that is quickly becoming a thing of the past. I use a gmail account mostly, because my primary poweredbycoffee.net address has become a spam magnet, and my e-mail client (Thunderbird) is becoming less and less able to identify the spam. It’s gotten to the point where I may check my poweredbycoffee.net mail once a week, and just use the GMail Manager plug-in for Firefox to notify me when one of my gmail accounts has messages.
It’s really quite depressing because I bought the domain just as much for e-mail use as I bought it for the blog.
The funny thing is I never used to get any spam at that address. Until a (note quotes) “well respected” member of tech media solicited Christmas wishes last December, and I sent him an e-mail.
Funny timing.
I’d love to know “who” you’re talking about. Find me tomorrow
