I live on a busy street in a crappy neighborhood and that means I hear all sorts of bizarre noises going by the house. A few minutes ago I heard an unfamliar sound and peered out the window. It was the line painting truck and they were painting the yellow line down the center of the street. I watched in amazement as he killed the paint at the intersection just south of here with exacting precision, then moved across the intersection and restarted.
Traffic coming onto our street from the intersection waited for him to cross. Two Astro vans proceeded to enter the intersection behind him. The first one took it really wide to avoid the trail of fresh paint behind the truck. The second one was asleep at the wheel - no pun intended - and hit the paint stream about twenty feet behind the paint gun.
There is now a green Astro in town with a fluorescent orange tire. Nice job!!
I thought it was funny.
