Or maybe not.
I was staring out my front window a few minutes ago. Our front window has a view of a park that covers the better part of a full city block. Last year I took a picture of the death trap bridge that crosses the creek on flickr. Well this year - back in early June - they tore down the bridge and began constructing a new one. About the second week of construction I saw a guy who looked like a foreman and asked him when the new bridge would be done. He said “Mid-August for sure”. Well, it’s now mid-September - it ain’t done.
I will say that they are really going to town with this project though. It looks a lot more solid than the old one was. Early in the construction I speculated that the new bridge might even be able to support a truck although now at this stage in it’s development, I don’t think it will be wide enough.
As I was staring at it out the front window I thought “Hey! I have a picture of the old one somewhere” and went looking for it and sure enough I did. It’s the picture I linked earlier. I look forward to posting “before and after” - if they ever finish it.
