Or at least it will be comparable.

The Canadian government, in an era of record-low voter turnout, has enacted legislation intended to “minimize voter fraud”. You now require photo ID on voting day in addition to your Elections Canada card thingy. Sure… most people carry a driver’s license, but didn’t we just marginalize the people who don’t? The people who still have their “original” non-photo health card?

Yeah… right.

I would think that ANY legislation that could make LESS people show up at the polls for a national election to be discouraged, but the truth is that fewer voters means that the status quo remains largely unaffected.

Secure your job, but come out smelling like a rose. Nice. At least the Conservatives have half of it right. The Liberals couldn’t get EITHER part right.
