Everything I Need To Know I Learned From My Cat

Quote Of The Moment

An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.

Justin, just skip this article. It’s for the good of your health. Honestly.

Would I buy a Zune? I might.

I’m feeling a little deserted by Apple lately. The 7.x release of iTunes has been CRAP since it was released. It continues to be choppy on older computers. It’s gotten to the point that I barely use the computer to play music anymore because I can’t multitask with iTunes 7.x without the music hiccuping. While my computer is not new by any reasonable sense of the definition, a media player (especially an audio player) should not need the kind of horsepower that iTunes demands for simple audio playback. Guys, you may think that my impressions of Apple are based on the iPod interface, and partially it’s true, but it’s also based on iTunes and currently - it sucks.

Windows Media Player, despite all of it’s flaws, performs wonderfully in it’s native operating without requiring a ton of resources. The Zune interface looks incredibly cool from everything I’ve seen from the news coverage, and the wireless angle is neat too. I guess the question at hand is whether I’m going to stay with Windows or go to OS X, but at the moment… it looks like it’s Windows for me. If all goes well, I intend to be in a new dual core by Christmas. Which will solve my iTunes problems, but… it’s still a matter of principle.

I guess we’ll wait and see.
