Bozo (aka Justin) just sent me a link to some pictures that just about made my eyes pop out of my head. In the time it takes to say “Whoooooooooaaa” I have suddenly gone full circle on my desire to suffer through the passport process for the purpose of satisfying a bunch of neurotic self-absorbed weenies at the Department of Homeland Security. I would love to see the American response if we suddenly started requiring American passports for all visitors at our border.
But I digress before I start ranting… because this post ain’t about that.
Fleet Week is an aviation photographer’s dream come true. I want to get the longer lens for my DSLR, and I want to go down there and do nothing but shoot for a week. Ships, aircraft, birds, Alcatraz Island… the possibilities are endless.
A week of that… a semi-un-seedy hotel… and just San Francisco in general… and my soul would be restored.
Between the air fare, the lens, and a week of hotels and eating out it would cost me a small fortune… but… my soul would be restored.
Oh well. I’ve got ten months to develop a foolproof bank heist.
Not to mention that you’ll also have to cover my airfare to bring me out there since I was the one who tipped you off to it.
