My Christmas Wish

I've searched long and hard for this and can't find it anywhere. Maybe some PalmOS programmer will hear my plea and code this for me.

Everquest is probably one of the biggest online games in the history of mankind. But what I'm looking for is a PDA-based calculator for it's currency system.

Everquest uses a 10-based coin currency system, consisting of copper, silver, gold, and platinum coins. So 10 copper is 1 silver, 10 silver is 1 gold and so on. You get the idea.

What I want is a simple calculator - with a couple of "memory" locations - to add up sums of EQ currency, as well as calculate differences. Yes, I could use a normal calculator, but it would be time consuming.

The other feature I'd like is the ability to auto-reduce. For example, after a busy day of looting, it's not uncommon to have (for sake of example) 12 plat, 40 gold, 80 silver, and 122 copper. Reducing would tell me how much I really have after going to the bank and reducing all those small denominations to larger ones. (Which in this example would be 16 plat, 9 gold, 2 silver and 2 copper - I think - I did it quickly.)

Since Everquest doesn't un-full-screen very well without some degree of coersion, this would seem to be the perfect kind of application to code under PalmOS. You could do it under Windows, but getting out of Everquest and unlocking the cursor, running it, and then going back to EQ fullscreen would be a pain in the neck.

I'd code it myself, but I don't have the tools.

Are any of you PalmOS programmers listening? This is not a big job.

Just a suggestion as I don't use a Palm, but could you possibly just create a spreadsheet with a couple of formulas to do it all? Then you could just open that file up on your Palm and do the quick conversion.
