“This could be my last log entry as the captain of the Enterprise….”

The good news is that the air temperature has dropped from the 95-105F range we were having last week.

The bad news is that the humidity is almost 90% You can almost feel the tendrils of nature’s wrath reaching around the circumference of your neck and squeezing until you choke. Whether your mental picture when reading that last sentence includes a high-pitched impish laugh or not is purely optional, but it enhances the experience. Try it.

The barometric pressure is 29.96 and steady. To put it in perspective… higher than Phoenix, Arizona - although they are under an extreme weather advisory right now because of high air temperature. Those poor morons have a forecasted high of 117 degrees Fahrenheit today. No wonder air conditioning is such a brisk business in Arizona.

I don’t know what we did to the ozone layer, but dammit… we need to get it fixed. This global warming isn’t for the birds… it’s for armadillos… and I’m not an armadillo.
