I’ve always been fascinated by statistics, and the Control Panel for my web hosting has several popular web statistics generating packages built into it.
It’s always interesting to know who comes to the site, and how many people from where. It’s easy to think that it’s “just a few people I know” that come here, [...]

My web host has advised me that the transfer between the two servers has completed with nary a glitch… except my hit counter getting reset. I think I can fix that.
[Addendum: I looked through my various stat reports for a number that most closely resembled where the counter was before the move. [...]

I just got a note from our illustrious web host informing me that the server is being upgraded and that things are going to be “moved around” a bit in the near future. They are hoping everything will be seamless, but if the road gets a little bumpy in the next 48 hours or [...]
