What’s On My iPhone?

Well, I don’t have an iPhone.  But I have an iPod Touch.  It runs the same software.  So to all those who are wondering what’s on my “iPhone”, here’s the rundown.

Main Bar

  • Twitterfon Twitterfon is my “remote” Twitter application and the only application I have on the “bottom bar” for ease of access.  I vastly prefer Twitterfon over all the other Twitter apps, including Tweetie and Twitterific.

The Rest

  • Weatherbug I didn’t really like Weatherbug at first, but when I got used to it, I got to the point where I can’t live without it.  I used to have a bunch of home screen bookmarks to other web-based weather forecasts and I’ve deleted them all.  Weatherbug does everything, including multiple locations.
  • Mobile News The Associated Press news “client”.  I don’t know what port this app pulls data over, but I find that it’s blocked on a number of wifi networks I connect to.
  • Shovel A Digg.com client.
  • Facebook The Facebook.com client.  I can’t handle the web-based iPhone version for the most part, but at the same time I find there are things the web page will support that the client won’t, and vice versa.
  • Morocco I’m a sucker for Othello… even if I suck at it.
  • Fring An all-in-one instant messenger client.  It’s a little buggy though.
  • Google Earth Surprise, surprise.  My favourite time waster isn’t a game.
  • Apple Remote I don’t really use it a lot, but I think it’s immensely cool.
